One Book, One City for Kids is an annual reading program that encourages all 5th graders in the city to read and discuss the same book. The program also strives to encourage a lifelong love of reading among students, to inspire readers to bring story ideas and themes to life through discussion, and to build collaborative ties between public libraries, school libraries, and area schools. This year the entire city will be reading "Front Desk" by Kelly Yang.
I think Mia will work at the front desk of a motel. I think Mia will someday achieve her goal of being a writer. I think Mia will win the essay contest. I think Mia will prove her mom wrong about English. I think Mia will get so fed-up with Jason that she'll either punch or give him a little talk.

I have already read the book and I think the book is has a very important lesson to it. I love how they help Immigrants it reminds me a little bit of Martian Luther King because he was helping people a lot. It has a good lesson that everyone can learn from.
I don´t necessarily think she is at the front seat in school and there is a telephone on the desk on the books cover,and why would she have keys behind her? but I like the guess. :)

I thinks this book is ganna be like they have no money and there ganna be helping pepole like giving them food when they need it and at the end there ganna be rich and have the best life......
I think Mr. Yao will find out about Mia's secret and Mia will run away from the motel that she lives at and then carry out her carrier as a writer and write about what happened in the motel.Or I think that Mia will keep a diary of what happened and what is happening in the motel and Mr. Yao will read it one day and be super mad at them for what they have done.
